Disneyland on my birthday.
Tower of Terror
My mom, me, Logan, sister Taylor, Aidan. I think I was more scared than the boys.
Emily entertaining herself in a line. The lines were not too bad at all, the longest was maybe 20 minutes. Most were only about 5 minutes.

Yeah for Mickey, we didn't even have to wait in line to see him, he was walking around so the kids just ran up and walked beside him.

Pirates!!!

I was recently in a musical with our community theater called The Lady Pirates of Captain Bree. I obviously was a pirate. It was a lot of work, big time commitment, but so much fun.

The kids loved it, they came in costume and pretended to be pirates also.

It was a dinner theater. We served chicken, pirates pie and a salmagundie, which was a salad with a bunch of different toppings.

Great picture of Aidan hamming it up.

Crazy kiddos

So I was trying to make dinner and the kids were playing in the front yard. All the sudden I hear "Mom, Aidan is gone" So I run outside and am looking around calling his name while Emily is being so clever not to give his hiding spot away.
I was a little mad they played a trick that almost gave me a heart attack but it was super cute also.
On his way back down a spider landed on him and he freaked out so bad he almost fell out of the tree. Mommy now has a new rule about no tree climbing!
Emily likes to Bling herself out. She does it all he time. This is how she came out of her room after I told her to get dressed for school.

This is what we compromised on. And no I did not tell her to pose like this, she is a superstar all by herself!

Easter morning
The Easter Bunny must be tall because Daddy had to help them all reach the eggs!
My very skinny Logan.

Checking out the loot!
Yes Aidan's hair looks like this or even worse every single morning.

Easter Egg Hunt from H*!#

The kids may look happy here but don't let it fool you. We woke up early Saturday morning to head over to Bakersfield, almost an hour away. We were very excited for the huge Easter egg hunt that we had to buy tickets for at $2 a person. The doors were suppose to open at 8am with activities and games going on until 10am when the hunts were suppose to start. Well we got there at 9 thinking we would have plenty of time to enjoy a couple of activities before the hunts. HA... when we got there they still had not opened the gates and there was a line about a mile long to get in. We went to the end of the line and waited.....and waited.... meanwhile the line continued to grow behind us another mile long I think. At 9:20 the line started to finally move....slowly. We got through the gates at 9:50, just in time for the hunts to start... or so we thought. Once inside it was total chaos. There were no signs or people telling you where to go, just many, many confused looking people with cranky children who had just waited in line for far too long. So we walked around and noticed there was a large group of people swarming around this one area so we checked it out. Yeah, we found the egg hunt! We stood by all the people and waited... and waited. Meanwhile our children were getting pushed and stepped on by so many parents trying to get their children to the front. We stepped back and called our kids for fear of their life and limbs. We decided there had to be a better way to get to these eggs so we walked all the way around to the other side of the field hoping the hunt would not start before we got there. There were other people over here also but not as many and not as pushy... or so we thought. By now it was 10:30 and we were all just waiting with the swarms of other cranky people. Finally an announcer started talking on the mic and telling us that the hunt was about to start but only one hundred kids at a time. "Everybody please stay back and wait your turn" Turn??? Were we suppose to have a number... what did we miss? We looked around at all the other confused looking people who also had no idea what this guy was talking about. All the sudden a mother runs out to the field and starts picking up eggs. Well this started a mad rush and everyone was all of the sudden pushing to stepping on people to get these stupid little plastic eggs. Aaron yelled over the noise, "Stay with Emily, I've got the boys." Our kids did manage to get a few eggs each miraculously. Emily was only about 3 feet from me and I had an egg between my feet. I called to her "Emily I have one here for you" Out of nowhere a mother comes and attacks my legs and grabs the egg. Holy mother of... crazy lady you can have it just get away from me. About 20 seconds after it had started it was done. Breath. So everyone was now sitting in different places sorting their eggs, I was trying to locate the boys and Aaron. Emily was walking around about 10 feet away when she accidently dumped half her eggs out of her basket. I still don't know where the people came from but there they were picking up her eggs and running. It all happened so fast she didn't even have time to react. Finally we found the boys and went to find a safe place to sit. There was not even candy in the eggs, just stickers and coupons for free kids meals etc. I guess in one egg out of the 7000 was a ticket to the Jonas Brothers concert so apparently that is what everyone was after. There were kids crying everywhere because they did not even get one egg while others were walking around with baskets full. It was so sad. There was still activities going on and since we did nothing but wait in line before the hunt we let the kids do a couple of them. Aaron went and ran their baskets out to the car and when he came back said there were still people lined up outside who did not even get through the gates in time for the egg hunt. This was put on by three different radio stations who obviously don't know how to organize. Later that night on the news was a big story on how horrible it was and that the newspaper and channels had gotten hundreds of complaint calls. They had only planned for 1500 people and over 3000 showed up. Well the tickets could be purchased starting a couple weeks before at Vallitix. We bought ours just a couple days before. They could easily keep track of how many they were selling and when they reached 1500 they really should have stopped. Overselling by a couple is understandable but they were really just trying to weazle as much money as they could.
After the hunt we waited in line for an hour and a half for them to get their faces painted.

Of course Aidan was spider-man.
Logan asked the lady to paint something she had never painted. This is what he got.

Easter egg hunts at school

The boys had their Easter egg hunt at a park near their school. They walked there as soon as school started. They were so excited all week for it and when they woke up this morning they were dressed and ate breakfast in record time so they would not miss the hunt. The actual hunt only lasted about one minute and then they each got an otter pop and walked back to school.

Emily had her hunt at preschool today also. They coloured hard boiled eggs and then went out to find them. They were magically hidden by the Easter Bunny, which consisted of me and another mom!
They had a little party with milk and cookies also. "Emily smile".... this is what I got from her.

Family Pictures

More Disneyland

My boys, when they are not fighting they can be so cute together!!!
Logan realized California had an L in it so he had to pose.

'Hanging' around waiting for Daddy and Logan to get off Indiana Jones.

Aidan was finally tall enough to go on Indiana Jones. He was so excited the whole wait in the line and even when we got on. He has been waiting over a year since Logan has been going on and telling him how fun it is. During the ride he seemed to enjoy it but after he said it is too scary and he never wants to ride again. So sad. Hopefully he forgets or changes his mind next time.

Tinkerbell
So they have this new area by the Matterhorn. It's called Pixie Hollow and basically you wait in line to meet Tinkerbell and some of her fairy friends. Since Emily can not do Indiana Jones yet we decided to wait an hour so she could meet Tinkerbell. It took a little bribery with the boys who so did not want to wait in line to meet stinkin' fairies, but they were good sports in the end. They refused to get in the picture with the characters, but I got some good ones of them with the big plastic flowers!!

Emily is a true girl despite all her dads efforts to tom boy her up.

They didn't really want to sit by the flowers but like I have said before, they are hams and would never pass up a chance to have their picture taken.

Aaron really liked the giant toadstools. I think he wants one for our back yard.

Here is our family website. So if you want to know the goings on of our family, then you can come back here to see. You can also leave us messages if you would like.
