Random

At the San Diego Airport waiting for the shuttle to our hotel.
Yes we act like children when we have none!!
We won a digital scavenger hunt. They told us we got a record high score.

Three Monkeys!!

I'm HOT, I know!!

Ship on a stick.
Since we don't drink we had to find other ways to entertain ourselves during our days at sea.
Lucky for us they have these trivia games throughout each day. We were teamed up with the Buttons on our first day at sea and we won this beautiful trophy. Small problem... we just got one. How are we supposed to share, joint custody? So we spent the next several days going to as many trivias as we could to try and win another trophy. Well, the four of us are not as cultured as one might think. We pretty much sucked. While at a trivia one day the wonderful, might I add Canadian, games host Alexi took pity on us. She told us if we looked over her new scavenger hunt she had just made up to make sure it wasn't too hard or easy she would give us another trophy. We took the offer and now have a beautiful ship on a stick of our very own!!!

Cabo

So I woke up (and threw up) the night before Cabo. ALL NIGHT LONG. Not sure if it was the motion of the ocean or something I ate but it was not fun. I wanted to stay in bed all day but my wonderful husband talked me into getting up and watching the sunrise.

Yes those are my cheerios. Trying to keep them down was not easy.

I think I must have looked hung over because someone actually asked me if I had partied too hard the night before.

It was a beautiful sunrise. Very early, but beautiful:)

I know I have a smile on my face but I wasn't really a happy camper.

Keri and her hot cocoa!

By the time we got off the boat in Cabo and took the long van ride to the zip lines I was starting to feel a little better.

By the time the zip lines were done and I had proven what a trooper I can be I was feeling very hungry so we ate some super yummy nachos.

Aaron, AKA, big chicken, did not want to parasail. If I had been feeling 100% maybe I could have talked him into it or braved a solo ride but going by myself didn't seem very fun.
Dave and Keri loved it and Keri was not scared at all!!! Not sure if you can sense my sarcasm so I should rephrase that and say she had fun despite being super scared:)

Cruisin' with the Jones'

So for those who don't know, Aaron and I decided to spend some of our hard earned tax money and take a vacation. We had been planning on doing something amazing since he graduated last year but did not have the money until recently. We decided on a cruise with some good friends of ours and started planning many months ago. We debated on the Caribbean since we had already done Mexico but since the plane ticket alone to get there cost more than the cruise itself we decided to not go into debt and stick with this coast! There were a few choices between what cruise line to what ports we wanted but really it came down to only having one week that would work for both couples. So, Carnival Spirit it was! Departed San Diego April 4th. We visited 3 wonderful ports in the middle of our fun filled days on the ship. Arriving back in San Diego on April 11th.

We had heard horror stories about planes being delayed and missing the boat so we decided to fly down to San Diego the night before and stay in a hotel. Keri and I did our research and thought we found an inexpensive but decent hotel. We were wrong. It was a sticky floored, broken locked, nasty waffles, waste of space hotel. So glad I read all those reviews:) But it did the job and was close to shopping downtown so we survived.

Keri is a little addicted to hot cocoa so we searched everywhere the following morning for somewhere open. It was almost impossible since it was Easter Sunday, but alas we found a little cafe and she got her fix.

Then it was time to board our ship. We went early so we could be one of the first people on. I think everyone else had that idea too!!!

Dinner the first night. The food was very yummy, maybe a little disappointing compared to our last cruise, but really we did not have to cook or clean so it was heaven!!

Night 2 was formal night so Aaron got mucho points for playing dress up and pretending to have fun!

We sat at the same table every night and had the same wait staff. We very much enjoyed confusing them by sitting in a different spot every time so they never knew who was with who or which one was Mandy or Keri. Right, it doesn't take much to entertain us!

Aaron's Prime rib and my Lobster.
If you have ever been on a cruise you know about the towel animals that await you in your room each evening. Yes, we took pictures of all of ours and said "aww cute" when we saw them every night. Remember, easily entertained!

Keep watching more to come another night!!!

Cousin's Wedding

Everyone always says we look alike... I just don't see it!!!

Emily attempting to suck the jelly beans through the mesh bag.

Aidan looking so dapper and debonair... as always!

A bunch of cuties!

Logan was the ring bearer and thought it was so fun to 'hang' with the guys.

Logan's Baptism

He was so excited to be getting baptised in Taft so more family and friends could be there.
It was a very special day and we are so proud of his choice.

Here is our family website. So if you want to know the goings on of our family, then you can come back here to see. You can also leave us messages if you would like.
